Environment

“There is not much point in photographing in a pristine environment, if you are not going to do what you can to keep it that way”. says Ebony Whitaker of Fine Art Landscape Photography.

FALP is a sustainable and environmentally small business, which reflects the team’s personal relationships with the environment and their ways of being in the world:
  • Shooting: Travel lightly on shoots and don’t leave waste or trace when we leave, we alter nothing and leave the earth at least as clean as we found it. Walk, cycle where possible and only use a car when necessary. Vehicle fuel economy is rated 4 1/2 stars out of 6.
  • In the Office: Aim to run a paperless office and when we use paper its 100% recycled, print on both sides of the sheet, all waste is minimised, and we recycle wherever possible. We are conscious of power and water consumption, so we minimise our use of these precious resources.
  • Our Gear: All purchasing decisions are made on the basis of environmental credentials, quality and sustainability of the products where applicable.
  • The Paper: We use 100% Cotton Canvas for photographic printing and for all digital and offset printing work we use 100% Recycled FSC Certified Paper.
  • The Frames: All frames A3 and under are made from recycled PS moulding and over A3 are made from Pine sourced in China.
  • The Print: Our photographic printing is done on Epson Printers:https://www.epson.co.nz/company/environment/index.asp
  • Keeping it Local: We keep all our printing in New Zealand to keep the air & freight miles low.
  • Quality: The quality of the product is very important to us, so we check each print to make sure that it is up to the highest quality possible
